Qualify to Receive a Discount on Your Certification Exam

In today’s competitive work environment, standing out from the crowd is key to getting noticed by recruiters. If you are planning for a career in tech, getting industry certification is a guarantee to employers that you have the technical skills to do the job.

As a Cisco Networking Academy student have a clear advantage when it comes to getting certified. Not only do you get the industry-standard training in networking and core technologies, you also have access to Networking Academy discount vouchers which mean that getting your certification is significantly more affordable.

NetAcad Discount Voucher – Your Passport to Certification

Discount vouchers allow you to take your Cisco CCNA certification exams at a reduced cost. Electronic alpha-numerical codes tied to an email address, vouchers can only be issued to Networking Academy students and instructors who qualify for them via NetAcad.com.

You can use the vouchers to sit all four of the CCNA exams: ICND1, ICND2, CCNA Composite and CCNA Security IINS.

Getting your hands on a discount voucher is contingent on a few things.

Who is Eligible for a Voucher?

First off, you will need to be a fully signed-up Networking Academy student in order to apply for a voucher.

Then you are going to need to prove that you have put in the groundwork with your studies. Only students who have scored, at minimum, 75 percent on their first attempt of the final exam (CCNA Routing & Switching, Routing and Switching Essentials, CCNA Routing & Switching Connecting Networks, CCNA Discovery 2 or 4, CyberOps, CCNA Exploration 4 or CCNA Security) will be eligible.

You will need to receive your passing mark in the course grade book, then head to your NetAcad.com homepage and request your voucher. If you make the mark, you will also get an email telling you that you are eligible. From now until the validity period expires, you will see a Request Voucher link on the Learn tab of the homepage.

How Do You Use Your Voucher?

Vouchers are only valid for a limited period. You are going to need to request your voucher at least 14 days before you plan to take your scheduled exam to allow for processing, and then you will need to take the exam before the voucher expires.

Similarly, your discount can only be used in the region where you have taken your training. It will entitle you to sit the exam one time only – if you fail to pass, you will not be issued another voucher.

It should go without saying that your voucher entitles you and you alone to a discount. You cannot sell or share your voucher, nor can you exchange or return it. And you will need to keep your eye on the ball – exam prices can change without notice, so track what is happening and be sure to request and redeem the discount promptly.

Benefits of Certification

Certification is prized by the industry and prized by recruiters. It is a sign to your future employer that you have the initiative, the staying power and the solid, industry-standard grounding in core technology to be a great bet as a new recruit.

Being certified not only helps to distinguish you from the competition, it is a clear signal to employers that you can bring certain skills, knowledge, and mindset to a role.

Cisco certified candidates are seen as problem-solvers. You will be well versed in new technologies and you will know how to build a network. In addition if you have been part of a study group, you will be used to working in a team – aptitudes and capabilities that you will need to deploy on the job.

Certification is shorthand for job-ready. And if you do not have years of experience within the industry, having your CCNA certificate is a great way to impress upon employers that you are a worthy candidate.
